Update.

Hi to anyone who may be viewing my profile.

I'm totally loving my art creation times, as it is so relaxing and satisfying for me. Things have changed around here and I'm feeling very happy with myself and my life.

My painting is a little slow at the moment as my wrists are painful, but I'm still getting to do some artwork. (Danged arthiritis!)

I'm loving the autumn days, as it's my favourite season - and believe it or not I'm looking forward to Christmas! (Shhhhhhh I hear you say)

Friends and family are putting commissions in for my work now, so I guess I'll be busy for a while, which is good. (Latest creation will be posted soon)

The cats are now wanting to be inside more, so I guess that's a sign it's getting colder. As long as they don't jump on the wet paint that's okay with me. :)

Well, I have to go and pick up the eldest granddaughter from gymnastics, so I'd better get my arse in gear!

New beginnings!

It's been a while since I've posted due to things happening over here, but in that time I've been creating in another way!


I've started "dabbling" in art, acrylics and mixed media to be precise, and I'll post up the results!


Just be aware, the photos taken of my artwork aren't professional ones so the quality may not be top notch.

In My Own Minds' Eye

Dark rooms glow brightly whenever you enter.

People look round at you as you walk by.

Distance means nothing as our bond grows deeper.

You are perfection in my own mind’s eye.

Laughter surrounds you making your eyes shine.

I see your face in the clouds in the sky.

I feel so warm in the light of your sweet love.

Thoughts

Sleep eludes me, not all the time, but now and then.

 It’s never expected.

The night stretches endlessly before me.

Taunting me mercilessly.

Thoughts go round and round my head like a carousel.

Which one will win?

Every so often one pops out as though on a coiled spring.

Another one has surfaced, I am sure.

It fills every nook and cranny in the room, so there is no escape.

He doesn’t say, though the signs scream out.

It sits on my shoulder and whispers its bile into my ear.

Things I don’t want to hear – he still wants her, needs her.

Sometimes it screams so loud I feel that everyone can hear it.

You’re not good enough!

I’m amazed he doesn’t hear it or wake!

It makes me weep hot acidic tears that burn my eyes and my cheeks.

Will they ever stop surfacing?

My throat closes and aches as I try to stifle the sobs this heartbreaking thought provokes.

Will it always be like this?

Then slowly it goes on its cruel way.

It gives me some sweet respite.

Let sleep come to me now, and let me rest.

So I can prepare for the next to come along.

Back to normality

Well the holiday is truly over and it's almost like we've never been away! However, I have had inspiration from our jaunt and new material will be on its way as soon as. Be happy people and enjoy the weekend, wet or otherwise. Rest, play, observe and record! T.T.F.N.

Holidays

Going on holiday in September and I can't wait!!! It's been four years since my last holiday and the batteries definitely need recharging.
It's a trip back to Turkey but to a different area, and I am so excited I nearly wee'd! (nice image huh?)
Hopefully this will get the writing juices flowing so a notebook will be in my hand luggage for sure.
